چکیده
BACKGROUND Somatosensory evoked potentials may add substantial prognostic value in patients with acute ischemic stroke and contribute to the selection of who benefit from revascularization therapies beyond accepted therapeutic time windows. We aimed study accuracy N20 somatosensory potential component hemisphere anterior large‐vessel occlusion undergoing endovascular thrombectomy (EVT). METHODS Presence amplitude response were recorded before after EVT. Its adjusted predictive for functional independence (modified Rankin scale score, ≤2) at day 7 was analyzed by binary logistic regression adjusting age, mean arterial blood pressure, National Institute Health Stroke Scale, Alberta Program Early CT Score, serum glucose. power compared that clinical imaging models using receiver operating characteristics curve analysis. RESULTS A total 223 consecutive studied (mean 70 years; median Scale 18). recordings identified presence 110 (49.3%), absence 58 (26%), not assessable 55 due radiofrequency interferences angiography room. Before EVT, predicted a sensitivity 93% (95% CI, 78%–98%) negative 80%–98%). The odds ratio 9.9 3.1–44.6). In analysis, showed higher area under than prehospital or in‐hospital variables, including advanced imaging. Sensitivity increased 100% 0.85–1) when present CONCLUSION monitoring is noninvasive bedside technique could help eligibility EVT predict recovery.

Endovascular thrombectomy for the treatment of acute ischemic stroke.
UNLABELLED Few patients benefit from the current standard treatment for acute ischemic stroke (AIS), encouraging the development of new treatments. OBJECTIVE To systematically review the literature on the efficacy and/or safety of endovascular thrombectomy in AIS compared to standard treatment and to identify ongoing randomized controlled trials (RCTs). METHOD Searches for RCTs were perform...

OBJECTIVE To evaluate the cost-effectiveness of adding endovascular thrombectomy to standard care in patients with acute ischemic stroke. METHODS The cost-effectiveness analysis of endovascular thrombectomy in patients with acute ischemic stroke was based on a decision-analytic Markov model. متن کاملDifferences in Effectiveness among Devices for Endovascular Thrombectomy in Patients with Acute Ischemic Stroke
In the treatment of acute ischemic stroke, the proofs of effectiveness for endovascular thrombectomy have become more robust in recent times, but some questions remain on whether the effectiveness differs across different devices (e.g. Trevo, Merci, and Solitaire). In the absence of studies that have directly compared these devices with one another, comparative information relies on the results...
متن کاملCost-Effectiveness of Thrombectomy in Patients With Acute Ischemic Stroke
Stroke is a major global health concern. The last estimation of the Global Burden of Disease Study (2013) showed that ≈6.5 million people worldwide died after a stroke and 25.7 million survived. However, the most devastating impact concerns the long-term effects of such accidents in terms of physical and psychological dependence. Hence, in France, stroke represents the leading cause of nontraum...
